About Maria

I'd describe my personality as creative, patient, fun. I like working with kids because they are innocent and they bring me great joy. Seeing them learn is a special privilege. I'm looking for a job that gives me some type of schedule, while supplementing my income. I started working with kids when I was 13 years old. I babysat well into my twenties, then became an elementary teacher in 2009. I have recently retired from my position as a Nursery Director. In my spare time, I like to walk, crochet, embroider, read, see friends. One thing you should know about me is I believe it's important for children to be engaged in the world around them. I have a lot of creative ideas around that. My skills include listening, reading and writing, and facilitating creative self expression.
