About Maria

I'd describe my personality as loving, caring, mother of 5 children who enjoys being a caregiver. I like caring for seniors because I feel a duty to take care of the generation take took care of us. Elders deserve so much respect and sometimes are forgotten. I enjoy being a companion to those who need companionship or feel lonely. I started caring for seniors when my friend's mother was sick and she had no one to care for her. I decided to step up and be of service. I took care of my friend's mother for almost 3 years until she was able to take of her mother on her own. I would take her to doctors appointments, go to the grocery store, cook, do light cleaning, keep her on top of her medication regimen, and assist in the bathroom. In my spare time, I like to watch television, read a book, go for walks, and spend time with my family. My skills include companionship, household keeping, and medication reconciliation.
