When my mother was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, I knew my family and I would need help taking care of her. I had a few challenging experiences with prior caregivers and was so nervous to bring someone new on. I interviewed a few caregivers and once I met Maria, I knew she was the best person to choose. I knew bc she asked one simple question, “Tell me about your mom and how she was (before Glio).” I was so touched that she wanted to know about my mom before her cancer. Maria took the time to get to know our family, was patient with my elderly father and brother, and most of all was eager to learn and put into action the best care possible for my mom. She was very caring, loving, and supportive while caring for my mom. She did an amazing job doing day to day care with her, was very mindful about what foods were best as she declined, bathed her and kept her clean, did diaper changes, supported with medication, and most of all she really showed her lots of love. Maria lifted my mom everyday and was very attentive to all her needs. Maria is the best caregiver I’ve encountered and she was a true gift to our family. Her kindness and care for others is unmatched. I would choose her all over again. Maria was always open to ideas on how to care for my to the best of our ability and many times Maria came up with the best action plans. Anyone would be lucky to have Maria as a caregiver and she has become family to us. Know that your loved one will be in good hands with Maria.
