About Maria Pia

Fostering children's growth and development is my true passion. With four years of childcare experience caring for up to three children, I provide a patient, calm, creative, and engaging environment for children from newborns through age 12. I am First Aid certified and bilingual in English and Spanish. I have three years of tutoring experience providing individual support. I also served on the board of STEMsters, a nonprofit focused on education, where I helped planned lessons for after-school programs. At USC's Language Development Lab, I worked as a Psychology Research Assistant, recruiting families for developmental studies and conducting eye-tracking research with infants. I love combining learning with fun through outdoor play, sports, puzzles, reading, and educational games. I'm also happy to help with homework, meals, carpooling, swimming supervision, and routines. I value open communication and look forward to being a dependable, positive presence in your family's life.
