I have been fortunate to have had 3 sets of grandparents. For 3 of them I was able to help out with their care. This ranged from sitting with them at the nursing home listening to their fabulous stories to helping them around the house. I am a mother who keeps a tidy house so I know how important doing laundry and housekeeping are for keeping stress levels low. There is so much wisdom possessed by seniors that I always have an open ear for what they want to say, no matter how long it may take them. Playing cards, being read to, and building puzzles were favorite ways of spending time for my grandparents and me. I can imagine trust is a big issue when seeking care for an aging parent. I treat people the way I want to be treated- with honesty and respect. I would love to help make you and your parent's days happy and as stress free as possible. I recently worked for a family in Leawood as a companion caregiver for a year and a half and vastly increased my skill set.

I don't have enough room to write the proper review for Maria. She is not only a hardworking, dedicated, diligent, loyal and loving caregiver, but became a part of our family, and remains so even after the passing of my mom. She was a part of our care team both at home and when my mom moved to assisted living. She was hands on care, personal hygiene, errands, light cleaning, food prep, you name it, she could do it. She even became a pet/home sitter on several occasions. Her sunny disposition, and willingness to go above and beyond every single day made her the most valuable member of our team and my mom grew to love her as well. She was with us for almost 2 years and I would hire her again in a second. The best out there. You would be lucky to have her in your or your loved one's life.
