Dual citizen to Costa Rica, Spanish speaking. I'm a positive and energetic nanny. For several years I've worked in daycare centers and school systems because I love working with kids. I have 6 years experience with kids ranging in age from 0 months to 12 years. I was the lead teacher for a daycare and a class of 10 1-year-old's. I'm looking for a great family with 1 year+ dedication. I'm seeking 30 hours a week. I can help with washing bottles, dishes, diaper changing, playing, reading, cleaning up, running errands or driving to events and activities as needed. I can also help with kids' meals and laundry. My ideal schedule would be 9-3 M-F. I love being able to take kids to library story-times or to local parks and activities so the ideal family would provide a car. I'm hoping to sign a 1 year contract starting September 1!

Maria has been our 11 month old son's full time nanny for a month now. She has been great and there are a number of things we appreciate about her. Maria has great attention to detail. Within a week or so of starting, she noticed our son seemed to be constipated. She proactively fed him prunes, which we had told her were okay to give him. Maria clearly cares about doing a good job with our son. She will slightly adjust his nap schedule based on when he wakes up in the morning (which she always asks). She has brought over a bunch of books she reads to him (in both English and Spanish) and is working on teaching him sign language. Maria communicates very well and is always on time. She gives the right set of updates on our son (pics playing at the park, texts when he decides to run into the fridge in his walker and bump his nose, etc) and gives us lots of heads up on her schedule. We feel lucky to have her and would definitely recommend!
