About Maria

For 3 years our family used the in-home care services of Maria O. and we were not only satisfied – we were thrilled. Maria provided professional care that was compassionate and loving going above and beyond the regular duties of elder care, but also preparing meals, light housecleaning, laundry and occasionally even transportation to doctor’s appointments. An additional concern was that both parents were deaf and over the years Maria went from using a wipe board to convey messages to actually learning some of the basics of American Sign Language to effectively communicate. We couldn’t have been happier and it was evident on the faces of our parents. As my dad’s dementia advanced Maria handled his occasional outbursts with understanding and grace, almost as if he was her own father. Unfortunately finances forced us to put the house up for sale and transfer our parents to an assisted living facility. It was a decision that was extremely difficult because although we knew they would receive proper care it likely wouldn’t match the level that Maria provided. In a perfect world we would love to have been able to have Maria continue to provide care under the umbrella of the new facility. My parents have since passed but if you’re considering someone for elder care who is experienced, trustworthy, loving and most of all compassionate I would highly recommend Maria O.
