I have worked in the special needs field for 40 years. I recently worked as a recruiter supporting special needs programs . After an experience during the pandemic where I volunteered to assist in a covid positive group home I decided I truly miss be in a hands on capacity. I have provided an array of services over the years with the same agency. Over the years I have worked in a day program with adults, worked with our ski team in the winter and trip chaperone in the summer, Community Habilitation and as a bowling coach and residential setting. While I currently work with adults, I do have experience with children and teens with special needs, including 4 years babysitting my grandson who has ADHD. I have experience with seniors who had a stroke or other mobility issues assisting with feeding, changing, sponge bath, showering, medication management. I have experience with advanced dementia. I am cleared to multiple agencies to provide com Hab services and open to working with more.
