About Mariana

Hello! My name is Mariana and I'm a college student at UTSA majoring in Biology, hoping to become a pediatric dentist. I work at the YMCA in Childwatch! I care for children ranging from 5 months to 7th graders. I regularly supervise on average 30+ kids during a shift so I'm very comfortable in high energy, fast paced environments! I'm the oldest sister to two younger siblings so I started working with kids at a young age. I've been babysitting for a family of three kids (ages 3-6 when I started) since 2023. I was a Sunday school teacher assistant at my church from September-December 2022. I also was a camp counselor for fifth graders in 2023! These experiences have taught me patience, creativity, and how to keep kids safe and engaged while having so much fun. I'm BLS CPR and First Aid certified as well as CCMA certified, so safety is always my top priority.
