Hello dear families, my name is Mariana I'm 33 years old and I'm from Sao Paulo - Brazil. I've been taking care of kids since I was 11 years old when my mom needed me to watch for my little brother, at the time I was also helping at the church I used to go, with at least 10 kids in all ages, I became very passionate with childcare and kept helping neighbors and acquaintances in the weekends on the following years. I moved to US to become an Au pair in Chicago in 2016. A few years later I moved to NY and worked full time with a 10 months old baby girl in NY. I moved to Annapolis 2022 and worked for a wonderful family with twins, I changed careers in 2024 but do offer occasional babysit. - Arundel County and surroundings. Mari was absolutely outstanding. She just recently completed a week babysitting for both our 3 yr old and our 6 mo old, and within 1 day, it felt like she'd been a part of our family for months. She was incredibly warm and engaging with our 3 yr old, but importantly, also firm, and not a push-over. She also managed this while maintaining our 6 month old's feeding, play-time and nap schedule. All she needed was minimal instruction about where to find certain foods for lunch, and where she could take them outside, and she was completely autonomous from there. She was also punctual, and good-spirited when she arrived. Both kids adored her, as did my wife and I. I can't recommend Mari enough, and we look forward to working with her again soon.
