Hello, I'm Mariana. I've been working with kids of all age groups (new born-12yrs) for 11 years. I speak fluent English and Portuguese as well collegiate level proficiency in Spanish . I am CPR/first aid and lifeguard certified . I have taught swim lessons, coached a swim team, soccer, and cricket. I worked in preschools for four years with ages new born- 12yr olds. I recently started to do yoga, meditation, and breath work with kids, paired with lots of outside time and art I have found this has had great benefits to a child's behavior and mood. Since covid started I have been nannying and have really enjoyed the slower pace of working with less kids and ability to plan curriculum that is specific to that child's development. In my free time I like to read, watch documentaries, make art, and spend time hiking in the woods or playing sports. I have also recently started to garden and have fallen in love with it. Mari was our nanny to our 1 year old for nine months before we decided to send her to daycare. Mari is a truly special person, who brought so much love and kindness to our home and I couldn't recommend her highly enough. She is patient and gentle in her care, and incredibly thoughtful in all of her actions with the children she cares for. She taught my husband so much about gentle attachment parenting, and became a very special part of our family. She is truly a sweet soul and any family would be so lucky to have her.
