About Maria

As a care provider, I supported an elderly client with daily tasks like bathing, dressing, grooming, and cooking. I treated them with respect and dignity and helped them make consistent value-based decisions. I kept close contact with their family members to let them know how the days were progressing and helped the client have enjoyable and meaningful activities to occupy their day. I also helped maintain their drugs in good condition, following proper dosage and schedules. I like caring for seniors because it's such an integral part of my culture and a field I often felt drawn to because of its rewarding nature. Keen to learn and grow into the role of my employer while still being appreciated. I started caring for seniors when I turned 27, in the year 2002. In my spare time, I like to read, clean my house and crochet. While also taking care of my grand daughters. My Portuguese is native and my English is intermediate. I'm very family oriented and open minded.
