Maria M has been a caregiver for our mom until recently, and, during that time, I’ve seen firsthand how tender she is with the patient. She showed tender concern for our Mom, above and beyond what you could ask for someone merely performing a job. It’s obvious that she’s not just performing a job, she’s doing something she loves doing, and she loves her patients. I’ve seen her in a broad range of circumstances, from stressful medical emergencies, to simply sitting quietly with the patient. She’s the same calm, compassionate caregiver in both situations. In addition, she worked all night shifts for us, and I never heard her complain. She simply took care of our Mom as if that was her only focus – because it was.
