My youngest son was special needs.( I say WAS because eventually he caught up) He was extremely premature and had all kinds of therapies From learning how to swallow, physical therapy (He has minor CP) therapies to crawl, to walk, to speak etc These opened a whole new world to me and I started to work at the NICU as a Peer Counselor. I also worked at The Family Network where we would guide Special Needs families navigate the system. I also lead support groups. One in the NICU, and Spanish support group
