Hello! my name is Mariah. I am a first year student studying to become a pediatric nurse in Oncology. My dream is to work with kids that have diseases such as; cancer and sickle cell. I have always loved caring for others no matter the age. Caring for others gives me great joy and peace. My family told me they knew my calling was to be a nurse at a young age and became clearer the older I get. My experience caring for elderly and others comes from me being a caretaker to my great grandmother whom is 85 years of age and has Alzheimer's. I've cared for her since I was 19. I am well experienced with Alzheimer's, after surgical care, falling accidents, stubbornness, picky eaters, bathing and immobility.
