About Mariah

I love connecting with people of any age. I grew up across the street from my grandparents and would spend time with them every day. As they got older I would help by cleaning, cooking, companionship, bringing them to doctor appointments, yard work, while simultaneously respecting their independence. I have learned how difficult aging can be, especially if the person does not have a lot of help. I have years of experience in scanning the house for possible problems (stove left on, pills on the ground, trip hazards, house too hot or too cold, etc). I have experience working with dementia patients in a nursing home as a volunteer. I am ready to help them feel seen, comfortable, and happy! I love hearing their stories and asking follow up questions.
