About Mariah

Hi! My name is Mariah :) I'm a graduate student at Sam Houston State University with a strong background in English and the arts. I studied English in college and enjoy helping students strengthen their reading, writing, grammar, comprehension, and communication skills in a patient and encouraging environment. I also have a lifelong background in dance and am a singer and guitarist, so I love bringing creativity into learning whenever possible. I understand that every student learns differently, and I aim to make tutoring feel approachable, engaging, and tailored to each student's needs. My goal is to build both academic skills and confidence while helping students feel proud of their progress.
