About Mariah

Hello, my name is Mariah, and I'm a recent grad from WashU! I have an open schedule and I'm currently taking a gap year until Fall '27. Over the past six years and counting, I've had the privilege of working with children of all ages and high-support needs adults. My experience has equipped me with expertise in childhood development, home health care, and working with clients who have high-support needs. I've also worked in childcare centers managing a classroom with multiples. I love meeting children at their level and getting to know their passions. I've been known to be goofy, imaginative, and creative with the children I work with, often incorporating child-led play and Montessori principles into our activities. One of my favorite aspects of childcare is working on speech improvement and teaching new skills. We can sing favorite songs, learn new vocabulary, play pretend with toys, and gradually establish a routine with open parental input. I love to work alongside parents!
