About Maria

Hi, I'm Maria, a Richmond local with five years of experience working with art and children. I recently graduated from VCU with a degree in International Studies and World Cinema, and have tutored children in ESL, fueling my passion for education and cultural exchange. I have two years of hands-on experience as an art camp counselor and teaching assistant, working with ages 3-12 in a pottery studio and preschool. I've also managed events bringing 50+ children to a local movie theater, and cared for family members from birth through late elementary school. I prioritize safety, hygiene, curiosity, and empathy in every role. I am CPR/First Aid/AED certified, proficient in Farsi, and experienced with rigorous programs like IB.
