About Maria

Hi, I'm Maria! I'm a retired elementary school teacher with 33 years of experience teaching 1st & 2nd grade in a general education classroom across all subject areas. I majored in Elementary Education and English and hold my teaching certification. Although retired from full-time teaching, I currently work as a substitute teacher in local elementary schools, so I continue to stay connected to the classroom and to today's students. I'm passionate about helping children learn and reach their full potential. I provide patient, supportive, and individualized instruction tailored to each child's needs, whether they need help with reading, writing, spelling, math, homework, or strengthening foundational skills. Outside of teaching, I'm married with two daughters and have two dogs. I look forward to helping your child succeed and making learning a positive experience!
