About Maria

I have been caring for children since I was in high school, when I began babysitting for my family. Towards the end of high school I began to babysit for family friends and friends of friends. I'd describe myself as passionate, approachable, responsible, creative, and energetic. I love to read and participate in any creative projects with kiddos! All these years working with children made me realized that I really loved working with children. I enjoyed being part of their development and being able to help shape who they would become. As a recent grad from UCLA I was forced to question what I want to do with the rest of my life and while I don't have it all completely figured out, I am positive that I want it to work with children. Prior to deciding to go back to school this year, I was lucky to experience being a behavioral technician where I worked with children on the spectrum and it made me even more certain of my decision.
