My grandmother was my best friend, so I've always had a special connection with older adults. I genuinely enjoy their company, stories, humor, and perspective on life. I'm an attorney and Ph. D. in Economics, a longtime university professor, and fully bilingual in English and Spanish--but most importantly, I'm warm, patient, dependable, and a very good listener. I'm especially interested in companionship: conversation, reading, walks, errands, appointments, meals, keeping someone company, and simply making the day more enjoyable. I'm also comfortable helping with organization and everyday tasks. I am not a medical caregiver and do not provide bathing or other hands-on personal hygiene care. I'm looking for a senior who needs a trustworthy companion and an extra set of hands--and perhaps someone who genuinely enjoys a good conversation.
