We completed a Zoom interview for a housekeeping position, which went very well. She seemed genuinely interested, professional, and a good fit, so we scheduled an in-home meeting. She later called to reschedule due to not feeling well, and we accommodated a new time. On the day of the rescheduled meeting, our assistant sent a confirmation text in the morning, which was delivered but not answered. Multiple follow-up calls from our assistant went straight to voicemail, while calls from another phone rang through, suggesting our assistant’s number was blocked. Unfortunately, she never showed up for the appointment and did not follow up to let us know she was no longer interested. Because we had a positive initial impression, we paused interviewing other candidates and lost valuable time. Communication and reliability are essential in household roles, and based on this experience, we cannot recommend her.
