About Maria Del Sol

My name is Maria del Sol, but I go by Sol for short. I am a Queer Mexican immigrant from a town in central Mexico called San Miguel de Allende. I moved to Oregon in 2018 and spent 8 wonderful years, forging life long friendships and developing my career in Social Work. In the past year I have taken a step back from working at local non-profits and have shifted my focus to being a full time student and perusing a career in psychology. I graduated with a 3. 9 GPA and am starting this fall. I started caring for kids when I was just 6 years old. I am the oldest of 5 siblings and have taken great pride in helping raise them alongside my parents. I am looking for an opportunity that allows me to apply all that I've learned as an at risk youth social worker in a new avenue. I value communication, mutual respect, community building, and honoring diverse backgrounds and cultures. I would love the opportunity to share my skills, time, and hard work to your family!
