I have been a Care-giver for over 20 years (10 yrs through Care. com) and am experienced with infants up through teen years. Children under my care have and always will be treated as individuals with kindness, love and respect ... like a child of my own. I enjoy reading, playing games, arts and crafts. I can help with homework, light house-keeping and meal preps. I am comfortable with pets, large and small. I am currently employed part-time by a family with 2 boys ages 6&9. I have been working for them since August 2020. But I am now looking for a full-time position. I myself am a mother; I joined Care. com through the recommendation of another member. But prior to joining, my experience as a Care-giver has been with children of friends and through neighborhood families. I am a hard working individual and will always do my best to care for the little one(s) who become a part of my life.

I have known Mariacarmen (Carmen as we call her) for over 7 years. She is one of the most loving, sympathetic and caring person I have ever met. Not only is Carmen a wonderful friend to all of my family, but she is someone that my girls refer to as their "Second Mom". When my two girls were younger she would watch them after school until I came home from work. Her compassion and patience are outstanding. She treated them and still treats my girls are if they were her own. Her strengths are not only working with children but also understanding their needs and communicating with them as well. Her soft and caring demeanor coupled with her own firm upbringing provide her with the ability to handle any given situation. Anyone would be proud to say they know Carmen and even more so to say she cared for their child/children. I could never thank Carmen enough - she was and still is a major part of my girls childhood and now teenage & early adulthood. Thank you again Carmen.
