I have worked both in homes as well as in facilities. I prefer in home so I am sure my patients get the care needed as well as the undivided attention they deserve. I take Nursing Assistant refresher courses every few years so I can stay up to date with the changes. I have worked with pediatric patients with special needs, middle aged patients with spinal diseases as well as geriatric patients with an array of problems including dementia. I am familiar with Cath care and have even been trained as well as performed Superpubic Catheter changes on a regular basis, following all of the surgical guidelines in a home setting. I am well versed in G-tubes. I have had formal medication training as well as having a supervisory background. Though my heart places me in direct care where I can make a difference in the lives of those I care for. Care-giving of any patient is beyond just a job, it is a friendship and ability to provide the quality of life everyone deserves. From ADLs to genuine caring. I am able to do full transfers, provide assistance with therapy exercises, any ADLs, run errands, medication reminders, administration of injections and whatever else you or your loved one may need.
