About Maria

Years ago, I unexpectedly found myself homeschooling my son in 3rd grade. Through that experience, I discovered how much I truly enjoy one-on-one teaching and the meaningful impact it can have on a student's confidence and success. I began working at Elementary in 2014 as a paraprofessional, where I led small educational groups. In 2021, I returned as a District Behavioral Interventionist. In this role, I work closely with students to teach social-emotional skills and frequently support them within their classrooms. This allows me to identify when academic challenges lead to distraction or disruptive behavior and provide targeted support to help students stay engaged and on task. My goal is to help your child maintain their academic skills and close any gaps that could impact their progress in the upcoming school year. While my strengths are in elementary math, I can support all subject areas. I would love the opportunity to support your child's growth and success.
