About Maria

Hi! My name is Maria , and I have cared for children ranging from ages 0-13 for nearly a decade. In addition to years of babysitting, I have worked as an ocean lifeguard, assistant swim coach, and pool lifeguard, all of which involved watching and taking care of a wide variety of ages. I am EMR, CPR, AED, and lifeguard certified, plus I have swam competitively the past 10 years. I am currently interning at Montclair Speech Therapy, where I observe and assist with kids working on speech, occupational, or feeding therapy. Overall, I really enjoy playing (especially outside) with children, teaching them new skills (such as swimming or learning to read), and taking care of whatever they need. I am also comfortable being around and caring for pets, and of course doing any needed chores around the house, such as laundry, tidying up, doing dishes, or going grocery shopping.
