I created and foreign language program for the Mount Pleasant Cottage School in Pleasantville, New York. It is a residential system for emotionally disturbed teenagers. I taught there for eight years and also worked in a special unit for autistic children. I have since worked with many others, both adult and child, who ranged from mild to severe on the autism spectrum. It is work that I have had great success with. I am deeply committed to those that I work with and it means a great deal to me personally.
