About Maria

Hi, I spent many years being a full time, hands on caretaker for my own wonderful parents. After my parents passed I worked for a company called Senior Support Solutions. I handled many challenging and rewarding cases. My years as a special education high school teacher helped tremendously. I have a great deal of experience with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia. I also worked privately and my references are stellar. I love and have a deep reverence for the elderly. They have a lot to teach us, if we just have the heart to take the time to listen. I spent four wonderful years with a very special woman named Mary U. Her family will happily tell you about me. We baked, walked, went to church and even took a two week trip to Florida. She would beg to differ, but she got more out of it than she did. I am a well educated person as I hold two graduate degrees. My first is in education and the second in psychology.
