While I am currently a middle school teacher in Rhode Island, I also am available to assist with running errands to the food store or helping to transport, elderly family members in need of assistance. Since I was 15 years old, my elderly grandfather lived with my family, and I helped assist with his care along with the care of my grandmother. Both suffered from dementia and Alzheimer's later in life and had physical mobility needs that I assisted with when needed. These tasks range from walking alongside of them as a support, going shopping with/for helping them do basic tasks around the house. I am a very patient person and enjoy talking and spending time with others.
