Hi! My name is Margaret and I am 26. I've had the joy of spending the last 9 years caring for children and adults with varying abilities and needs. I volunteered as a respite caregiver through my church where I was part of a care team for a group of children from ages ranging 6-18 years old and with conditions such as ADD, ADHD, autism, and Down syndrome. I nannied full time for children with autism for two years where I aided with homework, thought up fun activities for us to do, encouraged the practice of skills to help keep the children socially engaged, provided transportation to and from activities, and managed household tasks such as meal prep and cleaning. I have also worked for the last two years as a personal caregiver for people with physical disabilities such as spina bifida where I gained experience with hoyer lifts, sit-to-stand machines, and gait belt transfers as well as learned how to lead clients in physical and occupational therapy routines and lymphedema care
