About Margaret

I am creative, engaging, rigorous I like tutoring because it allows a teacher to be effective in a short span of time and fully focus on the needs of one student. I'm looking for a job that allows me to light up as a teacher again. I began my career as a teacher 10 years ago. I taught 3rd grade for 6 years. I have since left the classroom to care for my daughter. I have tutored a few children in my neighborhood in reading and math while home with her. I also have an educational YouTube channel where I post videos and sell test prep materials for North Carolina assessments. In my spare time, I like to practice yoga, bake and make educational content. One thing you should know about me is truly enjoy working with children and getting to know their sweet little personalities. I also am so inspired by how consistent focused attention over time in an area can lead to exponential growth. My skills include upper elementary reading. Upper elementary math.
