About Margaret

Hello! I am a former teacher and seasoned nanny. I have 5 years of experience teaching public school, including both special and general education and all grade levels k - 6. I ultimately found that teaching wasn't as rewarding for me as working in homes as a childcare provider. I absolutely love nannying. I have been doing childcare in general for over 20 years and nannying for over 15 years. I love being on a child's level and seeing things from their point of view. I am a big developmental psych nerd, applying best practices with regard to attachment and nervous system organization. I run the day in a structured way, focusing on maintaining a serene, playful, safe and organized tone, picking battles carefully and providing activities that will meet needs depending on where they are each day. I am hands on and love to play, sing, dance, snuggle, read books, work on art and explore outside. I am flexible and highly communicative. I look forward to working with your family!
