25 yrs providing care in all settings with all types of individuals at Pine Rest, private homes, hospitals, schools, all ages and multiple children or adults from ages newborn to adult-neuro-typical and diverse individuals with all levels of mental health issues, autism spectrum disorders, verbal, physical and social skills. Supervised 5 AFC homes and 75+ staff at Pine Rest as well as a staff educator. This included positive behavior supports training, gentle teaching, trauma informed care, de-escalation, and safety procedures, co-occurring disorders, mental health first aid. First Aid and CPR certified. I am a QIDP and recently became CNA certified. Currently working weekends as a CNA in a nursing home with individuals with Dementia. I'm also certified as a birth and postpartum Doula, with focus on successful breast-feeding and maternal mental health. I have worked with several different types of underserved and underprivileged individuals as a homeless outreach worker as well.
