It's my goal to bring comfort and peace of mind to families like yours. My passion for supporting adults and seniors stems from positive experiences in previous care roles, and I'm dedicated to providing a reliable care option for you. I adapt to changing routines, de-escalate stressful situations, and incorporate memory care activities. Creating a comfortable environment is important to me when building a connection with your loved one. I can assist with transportation, errands, light housekeeping, meal preparation, mobility assistance, and physical activity. I am patient, compassionate, professional, and detail-oriented. I have a car and am comfortable with pets. I look forward to bringing my skills and caring nature to your family.
Marcy came into my life first as the co-worker of my spouse, and later, my friend. She was hilarious, kind, tender-hearted, and plain spoken. We lost touch in our 40’s but stayed connected through social media. In my 50s my mom’s Alzheimer’s got worse, she stopped driving, and had started basically giving up on living. I made a post to just my friends on Facebook for a helper for my mother, just part-time. To my surprise, Marcy reached out immediately with interest. She had been a very talented and successful graphic designer so it surprised me that she was interested in working with the elderly. Then I remembered all those times she volunteered at elderly care facilities when we were younger. She told us she’d reached the stage of life where she wanted to do what she loved - taking care of the elderly - for a living. She came to stay with Mom a few hours a day, a few days a week, which soon turned into full time, all day long. Her rapport with my mom was a beautiful thing to see! They walked at a park with a lake every morning, and Mom stopped needing her cane as much because she got so strong. They’d do all these different projects and outings. Feeding ducks at the lake, shopping at flea markets, doing lots of crafts at home, and more. No one could have cared for Mom as lovingly as Marcy has. She just has Mom covered, from making sure she has all her medicines ready to take at the right time to getting her to all her doctor’s appointments to making sure she eats, and eats well. My mother truly loves Marcy as another daughter, and it is obvious Marcy feels the same way. If it hadn’t been for Marcy, I don’t know what we would have done. She’s now a part of our family forever.
