Hello. I have been an educator for over 25 years, including work with Social and Emotional learning. I am a certified teacher through the CT State Board of Education. I love tutoring in particular. My top goals when tutoring are getting to know my students, developing trusting relationships with them, and creating a fun, positive environment where they are comfortable taking risks. Ultimately, I want my students to succeed, gain confidence, feel proud, and get to know themselves better as learners. My approach is student centered, hands on when possible, and interactive. When a student finds a concept difficult to grasp, coming up with an alternate way of presenting the material is an exciting challenge for me. I'm a dedicated, patient and caring educator, enthusiastic collaborator, and excellent communicator with children and adults alike.
