About Marcia

Please note: I'm looking for one or two days per week only. I'm an LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse), license is current and I have worked in skilled nursing facilities for the past 5 years. Prior to that, my nursing work included an adult day center and a mental health facility. I am also an artist, full of life experience and still full of fun. I value kindness, humor and respectful interactions. I love animals. I went to nursing school later in life, when my husband became disabled with Parkinson's Disease. I have an understanding of the changes and challenges that a family faces when a loved one needs care. I enjoy working with seniors - exchanging stories, helping out, and doing activities. I have taken care of people with many different care needs, from just needing a hand here and there, managing medications and treatments, to various stages of dementia, medical conditions, to end-of-life care. As a life-long learner, I am also currently learning French! Thanks for looking.
