I have experience working with kids in both a group setting (daycare) and privately as a nanny. I've cared for newborns of 2 days old to school aged children from 3 to 10years old. I've worked with children with a physical disability as we as learning challenges. I have also been successful in helping them achieve and sometimes surpass goals. I'm energetic, academic, creative, patient and fun. Nothing in the world is as heart warming as the smile or laughter of a child, at least to me. The look on their faces when they've done something and get praised for it is priceless. Helping them to understand something academically or socially is also rewarding. It feels like I'm doing my part to pass something on to the next generation even if it's in the smallest form.

Marcia is the best nanny ever! We connected with Marcie on Care.com when we were looking for a short term nanny for our second kid in between maternity leave and daycare. Marcie came fully prepared to our in person meeting, including wearing a white and black print t-shirt that would be interesting for an infant to look at (so thoughtful!). Our baby was immediately comfortable, and we loved her experience not only as a nanny, but also with daycare teaching, and nursing. We asked that on school holidays she also watch our 3yo and despite him being very attached to us from the pandemic, she quickly won him over with engaging play and mutual respect. Not only did Marcie provide loving care, but she worked hard at ensuring baby met appropriate developmental milestones. Marcie also introduced us to tips and tricks for both kiddos that helped us immensely. We continue to stay in touch and have Marcie babysit for us some weekends. We highly recommend Marcie and her thoughtful, caring approach to child care.
