Marcelina has worked for us as a Nanny for 14 years. During that time, she’s proven to be an exceptional caregiver to our two children and an integral and very special part of our family. We highly recommend her for any nanny or caregiver position. Marcelina began working with us when our first-born daughter was only 3 months old. At the time, she came highly recommended to us by our close friends. Watching Marcelina interact with our daughter in that first interview put our minds at ease, as we could see an immediate connection between our daughter and her. Our daughter was not the best sleeper, but Marcelina knew how to immediately soothe her and took her on countless walks in the park. During those early years, her attention to detail was obvious. She kept detailed records of our daughter’s eating and sleeping habits and made sure to track any milestones, which as new parents was much appreciated. Most importantly, we knew our daughter was safe, sound, and happy while we were working. Throughout the years, Marcelina has always proven to be punctual and flexible with her schedule. When our son was born, she didn’t hesitate to stay at our apartment for a couple of days while we were in the hospital. When we brought our son home, it was such a relief knowing we already had a Nanny who had already proven she could provide a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for him. Just like our daughter, our son quickly grew to adore her. As our children grew up, Marcelina continued to watch the kids, picking them up at school, taking them to the playground with their friends, cooking for them, and cleaning up after them. She’s an exceptional cook and makes incredible meals for my daughter, often sharing them with us. Although we’ve never asked her to, she’s more than willing to clean if time permits, and we regularly come home to a clean apartment, clean and folded laundry, and meals prepared for us. She has adjusted her schedule countless times when we’ve had to stay late at work, or when our daughter or son had a last minute class or playdate. Most importantly, her unmatched patience has become very obvious as she navigates the challenges watching a 14 year old girl and a 10 year old boy who don’t always get along. After 14 years, Marcelina has become like family to us, and she’ll continue to be in our lives after her employment ends. With that said, I have no doubt Marcelina will make an exceptional Nanny for any family lucky enough to have her.
