I've been a RN for 20 years. 12 of those years worked as a geriatric home care nurse Love working with seniors. They are misunderstood, they need someone to take their time and listen to them. They are often very lonely as their own families work so hard and seldom are able to spend much time with them. Even though I'm not looking to work under a nurse capacity, I am looking for a private live in caregiver position , however having said that I will certainly use my nursing skills to frequently assess the patient and alert the right people. Im a very caring, dedicated person that truly enjoys spending time with the elderly.
