I have 20+years of experience in caring for kids, I really enjoy my work and love seeing the kids I care for grow up and witness all their accomplishments . I love to play and sing with the kids and enjoy coloring and making crafts with them. I enjoy being outside in nature and going on walks. I am very familiar with any community events and programs their is to help the kids engage with other kids in their community. I have a happy and bubbly personality, I raised 3 kids of my own and helped raise 4 of my grandchildren. I have worked with a total of 4 different families in long term positions. My job is so gratifying and entertaining. My philosophy is to always speak to the kids at their level and validate their feelings but also know where and when to be firm. I believe that you don't need to shout or yell, you can talk to the kids with kindness and show them respect. I love to paint with the kids and singing with them and speak Spanish to them. Marcela worked for us for almost a year, full-time. She was very responsible and great with my special needs child. He loves her and misses her! She often cooked for us, grocery shopped, laundry, did drop-off and pick up at school, took great care of our many pets, did overnights, date nights…whatever we needed. She works hard…always keeping busy and finding ways to keep our home flowing. She is easygoing, kind, caring and was a great help for us. Our needs changed due to work schedule, otherwise we would have kept her with us forever!
