About Marcela

Marcela worked for my family for over 3 years, serving as a caregiver for my 2 children (a girl now age 6, and a boy now age 10). She is a reliable, trustworthy and friendly individual who is attentive to the children while observant of our behavioral and procedural rules. We have depended upon Marcela to be punctual (both parents commuted to NYC during her tenure, and we needed to leave the house by 6:30 AM each day) and she was exemplary in this regard. Her morning duties included waking the kids, preparing breakfast, packing school lunches & backpacks, getting them on their buses, tidying up and weekly laundry, all done very well. Marcela also handled after-school duties including picking the kids up at the bus stop, giving them a snack, helping with homework, cleaning out backpacks and lunch containers, etc., again all handled spectacularly. As working parents, we were also grateful for Marcela's flexibility often accommodating requests to stay a little longer (if we were running late commuting back home from NYC), or even running kids to doctor's offices, before/after-school activities, trips to parks, libraries, etc. and frequently came to our rescue by offering to stay home with a sick child when neither parent could get time away from work, or staying into the evening hours when Mom & Dad needed a date night! We can recommend Marcela without hesitation for any caregiver position. She has been indispensable to our family for the last 3+ years, and would not hesitate to bring her back if the need arose.
