Hello Parents, 
I am 35yrs with 10+ years experience with children/pets. I have been working with kids since I was 14 years old and it is a huge passion of mine. I am looking forward to jumping back in for a while. I am a firm believer in routine, consistency, and creating an environment to thrive and learn. I know some American ASL, and I have a Montessori approach to the way I go about working with kids. I mainly prefer to work with infants and toddlers, but I have experience in all age ranges. I am comfortable with all traditional nanny duties, transporting children, house management/organization, elderly assistance, and pet sitting. I also have experience with special needs children including high anxiety, speech delay, autism and ADHD needs.

Marah is a patient and detail-oriented caregiver! She made it so easy to focus on our work day knowing our little was in good hands. She is knowledgeable and prioritizes what is best for child development and has a breadth of experience with different philosophies. Our kids all attend Montessori school during the school year and she seamlessly fit in to the rhythm of our family. 

Marah cared for our baby from 2.5 to 7 months old and helped us with all the developmental care along the way. She got the baby taking bigger bottles and put her on a schedule. Marah also picked our oldest child up from school, as well, and did activities with her. We definitely recommend Miss Marah!

Marah babysat my 2.5 year old daughter and 4-month old son for a week while their daycare was closed.  She is a good communicator and very reliable.  My kids were recovering from a stomach bug, baby was teething, and my toddler gets really upset when I leave her with new sitters while working from home, but Marah managed these challenges well.  I appreciated how she helped with bottle cleaning and made the downstairs look so clean/organized by end of day. 

Routines and structure help kids feel safe.  They know what to expect.   Marah offers this in a loving way that makes you know your child will be in good hands.  We love our time with her.

Marah has a natural way with kids- my 3 yo son and 1 yo daughter love when she comes to play with them! 

I did a phone interview with Marah 2/4/18. It started off very weird, she asked me questions how many nannies have worked for me, which is fine because maybe she wanted to know if I had a difficult child. Then she proceeded to ask what was the reasoning,  with all due respect I don't think its any of her business. As parents we all want the best for our children so it wasn't a good start. I'm sure she is a wonderful nanny but perhaps today wasn't her day maybe. She was demanding about her pay ( which I understand that we all work for money) but not when you are doing a phone interview. I don't think it's appropriate. I usually do a phone interview then I schedule a second interview face to face. She then also demanded a w2 which I told her that I am not responsible for any of her taxes. Nannies are independent contractors. After I had mention that to her she proceed to ask why.. overall she became very combative. I cut the conversation short because I will not go back and forth with someone I don't know. Perhaps a little manners will do and ask what the person is looking for in a nanny instead of demanding. This is my experience. I felt she was interviewing me then the other way around. 

Marah is great with our daughter, she loves her and has been a regular care provider for her and our family pet. I would strongly recommend her for other families as a baby sitter, pet sitter. 

Marah was highly recommend from a friend.  She had babysit my daughter several times and each time she has arrived on time (or early) and done a wonderful job, including putting my daughter to bed which is not always an easy task!  Highly Recommend!

Marah is trustworthy and responsible. She handled my two rambunctious preschoolers easily, and kept them busy and engaged all day, which is not an easy feat. We will be having her back soon!

Marah has babysat for our daughter since she was 18 months old.  She is always on time, has fun crafts and play ideas for her to do when she arrives.  She even goes the extra mile in cleaning up the house before we get home.  Our daughter is not the easiest to get to sleep and Marah always does a great job and had shared some skills that have helped us with sleep too. She is very opened and easy to talk to and responsive to any feedback.  She is thoughtful and asks the right questions.  I highly recommend Marah for babysitting and nannying.  You will be pleasantly surprise.

If I was in the market for a full time nanny she would be my first pick! She has done some transporting and day jobs for me. Marah is very interactive with her young charges. She comes from a diverse background and has a good sense of humor. She is reliable and really enjoys her work with children. She exposes them to music, books, movies, and other educational material that spark their interests and inspires questions to know more. She is learning sign language and enjoys passing on things she's learned to her children. She understands that children need rules and structure and does a good job sorting out sibling and other related conflicts. Marah is fiercely protective of the children she comes in contact with and gives them the love and attention they deserve. She is definitely added value to any family looking for a caregiver.
