About Manuela

Retired teacher of 27 years who mostly taught fourth and fifth grade. I would describe my personality as determined, fun, trustworthy. I like tutoring because i'm good at filling in the gaps and I love helping children learn. I'm looking for a part time job that allows me to help children advance academically wherever they are at. I started tutoring after school in 2000, but I've been a full-time teacher for 27 years and recently retired. In my spare time, I like to skateboard and take kids skateboarding and help them learn. One thing you should know about me is i'm very passionate about helping students fill in the gaps that have been missed over previous years and helping them become critical thinkers. My skills include assessing where a student is currently, understanding the next steps in their learning and creating ways to help the students achieve what they need to.
