About Malia

Empowering elementary students to discover their potential is the heart of my teaching practice. I hold a college degree and specialize in fostering a love for learning through critical thinking and problem-solving. By actively observing how you engage with new material, I tailor my approach using visual aids, hands-on activities, and real-world examples to make complex concepts manageable. I believe clear communication with families builds the trust necessary for academic growth. Whether we are tackling science, history, or study skills, I celebrate every small success to keep momentum high. Since I have experience supporting diverse learning needs, I am dedicated to creating a patient environment where you feel confident to explore new ideas. Witnessing that "aha!" moment when a student finally masters a difficult concept remains the most rewarding part of my work. I truly look forward to helping you reach your goals.
