About Malia

My journey into childcare began when I started coaching preschool gymnastics classes back in 2020. I discovered the joy of caring for children and the positive impact I could have on their lives. I decided to pursue a career as a childcare provider to make a difference in the lives of families and provide a reliable and supportive care option. I enjoy creating a nurturing environment for children to thrive by engaging in fun and educational activities that foster their learning and development. I believe in open communication with parents and follow their preferred method to discuss their child's day or any concerns that arise. When it comes to enforcing household rules, I take my cues from the parents and ensure consistency in maintaining a structured environment for the children. I am currently a grad student at UCONN pursuing my masters in nutrition-dietetics and am very comfortable in the kitchen. I would be more than happy to help with cooking meals.
