About Malena

Hello, my name is Malena and I am 22 years old. I am a Senior Psychology and Community Studies Major at UCSC, with a minor in education. My goal is to be able to work with kids one day! I have 4 years of experience babysitting two boys (3yrs & 5yrs-5yrs & 7yrs). I love coming up with crafts to do, telling stories, and encourage learning at all times! I encourage kids to tidy up after themselves and always ensure the house is left looking better than before. Along with that, I have access to my own transportation at all times and can speak both english and spanish fluently. I love trying to get the kids I work with to learn new words in Spanish! I also have one year experience in tutoring a 5th grade boy with learning disability, so I am more than happy to help assist in schoolwork. Through these experiences I have learned a lot about how to balance authority with having fun, and am really excited to get to use these skills to help you and your family!
