I have been in the medical field for almost 35 yrs. This is my passion and my comfort zone. I came to the USA with the plan to continue my nursing and started as a private contractor, doing home care. I have been in part-time companion care since 2012 while working full time as a Nursing assistant/file clerk at NYU Winthrop University hospital. This is a job you have to love to do it. Understanding the various medical and psychological changes in an individual as they age is a great asset and I do. My humanitarian personality has helped me to be successful in my profession. I quit bedside nursing after doing it since 1986. The individual/family who hires me will not only be comfortable and safe but can depend on me to recognize any physical, emotional, medical or psychological changes. I know my job because this is the job I love and dedicated my entire life to. I am always ready and will to learn what I do not know, as times and technology changes.
