About Makia

Hello my name is Makia I am currently the program coordinator at a child development center. I have my associates in Early Childhood Education and will receive my bachelor's in Early Childhood Education Leadership spring 2025. I have been working with kids for 10 years and I have three of my own with my husband. I have always loved working with children and watching them grow. My next goal to add to my resume is becoming a post pardum doula, I want to help moms who have just came home with newborns to help prevent postpartum . I like working with kids because they are tiny humans who may not communicate the best but im always willing to learn each child's learning style. One thing you should know about me is I also have experience with working with children who are nonverbal and autistic My skills include supporting a child where they are, teaching independently and promoting a positive learning environment.
